FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corporation and the world’s largest express transportation company dedicated to develope and implement the International Trade Challenge, a program designed to engage young people from 10 markets through the creation of international entry strategy plans and ,ultimately, competition. Through the International Trade Challenge, students will work in teams to create international entry strategy plans for a variety of products. Winners from participating countries will have the opportunity to travel to different host countries each year and compete with other winning teams from the Asia Pacific region. Students will gain firsthand experience of world trade; enhance their knowledge of product distribution, promotion, and sales; and develop traits of competition, teamwork, risk-taking, and self-confidence.
Through the creation and implementation of the International Trade Challenge, FedEx Express is supporting the growth and implementation of JA Asia Pacific business economics and workforce readiness programs throughout communities in 10 markets. This involvement will serve to bring heightened awareness about the rewards and benefits of a business and entrepreneurship education as an avenue for helping today’s youth achieve their fullest potential and preparing them to become tomorrow’ leaders in our global society.
Following participation in the program, student will be able to:
· Define and understand the concept of international trade.
· Research and synthesize information to create a market entry strategy plan for a specific country.
